Financial data in real terms

Financial data in tables and charts have been expressed in real terms, adjusted using the consumer price index. This removes the effect of inflation and enables better comparison between years.

CPI multipliers that have been used to convert financial data to the current year are listed below.

To convert financial data in tables and charts back to 'nominal' dollars (dollars observed in each parrticular year) divide the estimate provided by the multiplier for that year. For example, if the estimate was $10,000 for a particular year and the CPI multiplier was 1.131 for that year, then the 'nominal' value for that year would have been $10 000/1.131=$7740
